I've always loved David Bowie as one of my favorite recording artists. I was devastated when he passed away. The night I found out, I cried and listened to his records. I've wanted to draw or paint him since then to honor him. But, I guess I was always afraid to because drawing people can be such a challenge; I just felt like I'd screw it up. Then recently, I finally had the time and courage to draw him finally. The sketching process was very long, constantly tweaking. I studied my reference photo to a tee, but I just struggled to get it right.
